Four years ago today I was 36 weeks and 1 day pregnant with three beautiful and healthy babies. I had had a terrific pregnancy and couldn't really complain about any of it. My body held out and at 12:56pm I gave birth to Malachi James and Madelynn Mai. Aiden Cooper followed behind a few seconds at 12:57pm. All were healthy and besides a few minor 'normal' newborn issues, they were ready to be in the normal nursery. They spent 20 hours in the NICU for monitoring of blood sugar levels and the following morning, they were in the room with Josh and I.
Here I was the morning of my c-section. Large doesn't really explain the way I looked and felt!
Malachi James...our first born. 6 pounds 10 ounces. 19 inches long.
Madelynn Mai...our second born and only girl. 5 pounds 10 ounces. 17 inches long.
Aiden Cooper...our youngest. 6 pounds 3 ounces. 17.5 inches long.
We brought them home at 4 days old. They wore preemie diapers and clothing. They drank only tiny amounts of formula and they cuddled into us and slept so snuggled. They were so small that we could fit two of them in one bouncy seat together.
Above is Malachi and Aiden. Below is Aiden and Madelynn.
And now, 4 whole years later, they look like this! Three healthy and happy preschoolers. All are 3 feet 2 inches tall and weigh between 35-38 pounds. They are smart, entertaining, lovable, happy, and the greatest kids that anyone could ask for.
Happy 4th Birthday to three of the most important people in my life. I'm so proud of each of you and the little people that you have become. I love you!
