Okay, I promise this is the last birthday post. :) I just want to remember everything and since my scrap booking and their baby books aren't staying up to date, this is the best way for me to remember it.
The kids were really in to opening their own presents this year. I only had to help Malachi with a couple of them. They have LOVED all of their presents and our living room is still a mess with all the new toys.
Madelynn really loves her new puppy from Grandma Ham (thats how they say Callahan)...so cute. She carries the dog everywhere and sleeps with him too. I think the puppy has replaced the blanket.

3rd Birthday - The pinata
This year was the first year that we did a pinata. Of course, we couldn't just buy one, so Janet and I made one...the first time ever. We followed the directions, but it ended up being way to difficult for the young kids to break. It's a good thing that Madelynn D, and Samantha was around to 'loosen it up' for the little kids. Aiden loved the pinata and hitting it. Maybe he'll be a baseball player??? Malachi giggled every time he hit it. So cute to watch. Miss Madelynn...well...she tried to hit it and made contact once, but on the second time she missed. She dropped the bat and hid in the castle the remainder of the pinata time. I
3rd birthday - The Cake
The trio's birthday party was on Saturday, October 17th and was celebrated with a Veggie Tales theme. Veggie Tales is NOT an easy thing to get supplies for. It became my odd obsession to create this huge themed party because the kids love watching Veggie Tales. We had a fantastic party with everyone, young and old, enjoying themselves. We took WAY too many pictures to narrow down to just a few pictures for one post so you get multiple posts for this event! :) Janet and I made and decorated the cakes. Here are the kids enjoying theirs. Every year we make each of them their own cake so I can control the amount of sugar and they don't have to share. Besides that, who wants 3 babies/toddlers digging into the cake that everyone will be eating.
Notice the orange cake...this is the only picture I got of him. :( It is Jimmy Gourd. We made him for Uncle Jim who shares the same birthday weekend with the triplets.

Blowing out their candles. Malachi struggled a little bit, but with a bit of help from his little brother, he blew it out.
Happy 3rd Birthday!
On Sunday, October 18th, our precious babies turned 3 years old. This year was especially touching for us because 3 is such an impotant number in our lives. Josh and I were married in 2003 and started trying for children almost right away. It took us 3 long years before we had our triplets (3 again!) on October 18, 2006. I found out on March 7th, 2006 that I was pregnant...ironically, March is the 3rd month of the year. Three's will always be very important to us because we are reminded each and every day of Malachi, Madelynn, and Aiden. The 3 most important things in the entire world! Malachi

My attempt at a group photo on the morning of their birthday.
Also, an additional piece of information that shows exactly how God works in our lives. The very first piece of jewelry that Josh ever gave me was a pair of opal earings. Ironically, our babies were born in October and guess what their birthstone is.....opal.
Happy 3rd Birthday Malachi James, Madelynn Mai, and Aiden Cooper. We love you!

Getting Ready for Church
These are pictures from before church a couple of weeks ago. My babies looked so adorable I just had to get the camera out. Madelynn before church.
Malachi...notice that we don't even attempt to tuck in his shirts anymore. They end up hanging out quicker than we can put them in.

Aiden getting ready to jam in church. That maracca went with us this day and made an appearance during the praise songs.

Disney on Ice
A couple of weeks ago, Josh and I took the kids to the Palace of Auburn Hills to see Disney on Ice 100 years of Celebration. We went with a group of moms from my mothers of multiples group, and another twins group. Tickets weren't priced bad and the kids got in free since it was 2 and under free. Then, when I finally got the tickets in the mail from the mom who ordered them for us, we found out that they were free ON OUR LAPS only. :( We still went and enjoyed it and we were lucky that no one sat in the seats next to us, so we got to spread out anyways.
We did get lots of pictures that are great, but not too many of the kids. Out of the ones we got of them, none were great quality. It's hard to take pictures of them while you are sitting next to them. I have about 100 more pictures from that day so I just tried to pick out our favorites to share.
The ending parade of characters.
They had fire works at the end of the show as well.

The Princes and Princesses. These were Madeylnn's favorite parts of the show. She started clapping and swaying with the music everytime the princesses came on stage.
Another view of the parade of characters at the end.
Timon and Pumba from the Lion King. Still one of my favorites.
Madelynn sitting in her seat like a big girl. The seats kept closing up on the kids so Josh and I had to hold them down.
The whale that swollowed Gipeto (not sure how that's spelled), Pinochio's father.
See how they are glued to the stage? That's how it was the whole show. They started to get antsy once and we got the snacks out and it took care of the problem.
